I studied Fine Art at Portsmouth between 1980 and 1983 where I gained an Honours Degree. Since then I have continued to paint and draw but only on a personal level. In 1990 I began teaching in a local Primary school so had little time to paint or draw. Recently however I have decided to find the time to return to my art. I am inspired by my local environment, particularly the hills and mountains around us and my garden. I particularly like drawing detailed landscapes, animals and old buildings, paying particular attention to the minutiae. My paintings are of flowers, animals and birds. My flowers are particularly stylised for impact. I will take on commissions including painting or drawing any pets from photographs sent to me.
