Amy Haynes is a geophysicist but loves art in all its forms. She focuses mostly on sketches with pencil, charcoal and soft pastels, and more recently acrylic paints on stretched canvas. She enjoys painting and drawing various subjects including animals and landscapes but most of all the human body- the various muscle tone, facial expressions and motion. Almost all her work uses large amounts of contrast between light and dark and colours and also hard edges to create art with an impact.
